Here are some of the tactics he used to be successful with women:

#1:  Practice Perseverance.  If you have a goal, be it a career or a woman, don’t get discouraged.  Do not let setbacks or rejection stop you.  Don’t stop approaching women just because of a tactless “brush off.”  Remember Steve McQueen’s motto:  “When I believe in something, I fight like hell for it.”

Here are a few simple suggestions:

1.  If you do everything for her, pay for everything, plan everything around her schedule and the things she likes to do, she will feel like she doesn’t have anything of hers invested in the relationship.  A healthy relationship is give and take.  If you do all the giving, she will eventually become bored.  Here are some ways she can “invest” in the relationship and, therefore, give her more of a stake in making it last:

• Let her do little things for you that you would do for her.  A massage, picking up your dry cleaning when you don’t have time, helping you pick out the perfect gift for your Mom or sister-in-law, meeting you at a restaurant for dinner instead of expecting you to always pick her up.
• Don’t always pay for everything yourself.  Let her pay for dinner, the theater, and the taxi.  Suggest that it’s her turn to take you out to dinner and let her surprise you with her choice.  When she invites you over for dinner, don’t be shy about telling her the name of your favorite, expensive, wine and ask her to pick up a bottle for the dinner.  You can bring the flowers.
• If she is willing to spend time with you doing the things you like, even if she’d rather be shopping at the mall, she will think, subconsciously, that the relationship must be “deep” and she must really care about you if she shares your preferences instead of always expecting you to do the things she likes.

2.  Sometimes a woman will find you interesting as long as you’re a challenge, when she isn’t sure of you.  But, unfortunately, as soon as all doubt leaves her mind and she knows you are “hers” for the taking, she may lose interest quickly.  It was the “thrill of the hunt” that made you attractive, not the catch.  Granted, this type of woman may be shallow and you will probably be better off without her, but if she is really important to you, don’t commit too early in the relationship.

3.  Don’t be “needy.”  Most women don’t want a wimp that makes them feel that the future happiness of the man is completely in their hands and, if they leave the relationship, the man will be devastated.  This is a responsibility most women don’t want.

4.  If your family lives close by, mention them from time to time so she is aware of their existence, but don’t be in too much of a hurry to drag her over to meet them.  In fact, it would be good for her to suggest that she meet your siblings or parents when she feels comfortable doing so.  Also, for a first meeting, a dinner out at a restaurant would probably be better than dragging her to a big family get-together where she will be inundated with tons of new people whose names she won’t remember anyway.  Start small and slow.

These are just some simple ideas, but they can make a big difference, especially at the beginning of a relationship.  Keep them in mind and you will increase the chances of your relationship growing instead of ending prematurely.

I could go on and on, but you get the idea.

Practically all women can tell if a man is interested in them. Isn’t it time you learned how to tell if a woman is interested in you? The first and most classic sign that a woman is interested in you is when she meets your eyes.

She might smile or not, but if she’s looking at you without looking hostile, you’ve caught her attention, most likely in a good way. The next thing you should do is meet her eyes and smile back.

If she’s sitting down, she might lean towards you, cock her head to make her neck seem longer, or slowly cross and uncross her legs in front of you. If she’s looking into your eyes too, there’s no doubt she’s extremely interested. On the other hand, if a woman isn’t interested, her eyes will slide right past you. She might be polite if you introduce yourself, but she’ll look away as soon as possible.

Women who don’t want to continue a conversation will turn their bodies away from you and might even turn toward the door. She might fold her arms, cross her legs and leave them crossed, or move away from you. Most likely, the conversation is a lost cause and you probably ought to move on.

If you’re boring a woman, she might lean away from you and rest her head in her hand, or tap her fingers or her foot. If she’s looking at you blankly, without blinking, she’s zoned out and isn’t paying attention anymore.

This is a good time to change the subject, maybe with a compliment and a question like, “That color looks good on you. Is it your favorite color?” or “What’s the best movie you’ve seen lately?” With luck, she’ll shake herself out of it and you’ll get another shot at a conversation.

Learning how to tell if a woman is interested is pretty easy. Women want you to understand them, and they make their body language simple and clear. Learn to read it, and you’ll be able to tell if she likes you, if she’s comfortable with you, and if she’d like to date you – all without saying a word.

Tailored or at least well-fitting clothing gives the same impression. You may not give a lot of thought to the ideal masculine figure, but your goal is to choose clothes that make your shoulders look broad and your hips look narrow.

Anything that’s sloppy, slouchy, or that hangs off you isn’t going to make your body look good. When you get dressed in the morning, keep these three words in mind: Simple, clean, classic.

You don’t have to dress like your grandpa, but you do have to look like you care about how you look. You also need at least one good suit in a flattering, neutral color, and also dress shoes, dress socks, a nice belt, and a new tie.

Never, ever, under any circumstances, wear pleated pants.  Choose flat-front, straight-leg pants – always. Anything else will make your hips look curvy, and that’s just not a good look for men.

The same goes for pants that don’t fit your waist. “Muffin-tops” and sagging pants are equally bad. Some women put up with them, but all women secretly wish you’d wear clothes that fit.

Don’t wear clothes that look like they came out of the trash. When your old clothes wear out, just buy new ones. If you don’t have a lot of money, make some room in the budget. If you’re attached to your old college T-shirt that looks like rats have been chewing it, keep it – just don’t wear it anywhere.

Don’t wear T-shirts with crude or negative slogans or pictures on them. Women take all forms of communication very seriously, and they do read your shirts. She doesn’t care that “at least it’s new” if she doesn’t like the message. You might want to avoid anything on a T-shirt except abstract designs, just to be sure you don’t send the wrong impression.

Wear mostly neutral colors: black, brown, tan, khaki, and dark denim for pants and jackets. White is also a neutral, but it isn’t very practical and not all men look good in it. Then, for shirts and ties, choose a few colors that look good with your skin and hair color. Darker skin and hair usually looks better with brighter colors, and lighter skin and hair looks better in toned-down colors.

Stick to these rules and you’ll look good enough to attract a woman. After you have a girlfriend, she’ll probably be happy to help you look even better. After all, she wants to be proud to be seen with you!

Sometimes it’s hard to strike that balance, but if you succeed, it’ll be easy to meet interesting women who are interested in you. Here are a few things to keep in mind when you’re trying to appear attractive and available:

• You don’t need a girlfriend. They’re great to have around, but if you don’t get a date tonight, you aren’t going to die. You aren’t even going to be bored, because you’re a fun and interesting person who is capable of entertaining himself. If the women you meet don’t accept your offer of a date, you have a backup plan.
• Most women are friendly, polite, and will try their best to give you a chance. Your job is also to be friendly, polite, and to try your best to give them a chance.
• Nothing is at stake when you first introduce yourself. All you’re trying to do is say hello. You don’t have to follow up with a brilliant conversation or a grand gesture – you can move on to someone else if you want.
• If you introduce yourself to enough single women, sooner or later one will begin a conversation with you. And a conversation is halfway to a date.
• Keep your body language open. Keep your hands open and out of your pockets, and your arms and legs uncrossed. Practice maintaining a confident posture without looking arrogant.
• Try not to get too concerned about how important your first impression is. It’s important, but a bad impression can usually be fixed if you catch it early. And if you can’t fix it, there are still other women to meet.
• Your first goal isn’t to meet women and get a date. Actually, your first goal is to practice giving the appearance of a confident, secure, interesting person. Once that starts feeling comfortable, you’ll have women introducing themselves to you.
• There are a few gestures you can use to show a woman you’re interested in her – meeting her eyes, straightening your tie or coat, and straightening up your posture. She is guaranteed to pick up on these, even if it’s only subconsciously.

The main thing to remember is this: you may be interested in a woman, but you can still live without her. And that’s the key to being available but not desperate.
